Departure of CEO Lynda Fernandez and Appointment of Interim CEO Karla Murphy at Greater Louisville Association of Realtors®

Louisville, KY The Greater Louisville Association of Realtors® (GLAR) recently announced the resignation of their esteemed Chief Executive Officer, Lynda Fernandez, effective August 4, 2023. Members were formally informed of this transition through a heartfelt message from Lynda herself.

During her time at GLAR, Lynda Fernandez demonstrated exceptional leadership, an unwavering commitment to the organization, and a visionary approach that led the association to unprecedented accomplishments. Her contributions have left an indelible mark on the association and have positioned it for a prosperous future.

"We would like to express our deepest gratitude for Lynda's leadership and invaluable contributions during her time as CEO," said Kimberly Sickles, President of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors®. "Her dedication, passion, and strategic insights have significantly impacted GLAR and will continue to inspire us as we move forward."

In light of Lynda's departure, the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors® is pleased to announce the appointment of Karla Murphy as the interim CEO. Karla Murphy has been a dedicated employee and an integral part of GLAR for over 27 years. Her extensive experience includes leading the areas of communications, education and events, advocacy, and strategic initiatives, all of which have contributed significantly to GLAR's success.

"We are confident in Karla's ability to guide us through this transition period," said Sickles. "Her deep understanding of the association's operations and her commitment to its mission make her the ideal choice to lead GLAR in the interim. We look forward to her continued leadership as we search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer."

During the search for a new CEO, GLAR is committed to ensuring a seamless transition and continuing to build on a strong foundation. The association remains dedicated to serving its members and advancing the real estate industry and home ownership in the Greater Louisville area.
