Elections are now open for your GLAR and MSI Board of Directors! On Monday, July 22 at 9:00am, all eligible REALTOR® members received a system-generated email from our election software with voting instructions and a unique password to access the voting site.
This unique password is specific ONLY to you and our GLAR staff does not have
access to this information. If you did not receive your password, email Lindsay Ford at Lindsay@LouisvilleRealtors.com to request another system-generated password be sent to you via email. Paper ballots are also available at the Association office located at
12300 Sycamore Station Place for those who prefer not to vote online.

NEW and REVISED Forms and Contracts

REVISED FORM 7/17/2024: GLAR's Buyer-Broker Agreement
The GLAR Board of Directors recently approved revisions to our Exclusive Buyer Agency Contact to comply with the updated information from the NAR settlement and their best practices for Buyer Broker Agreements. The newly revised form will be on our online forms service, Transaction Desk, within the

NEW FORM: GLAR's Termination and Release of Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract
The GLAR Forms Committee has introduced a new form called the Termination and Release of Exclusive Buyer Agency Contact to be used as a companion form to the Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract. This form is used when an Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract needs to be terminated or the agent released. This form is now available to access on Transaction Desk, our online forms platform.

NEW FORM: GLAR's Broker Compensation Agreement
The GLAR Forms Committee has introduced a new form called the Broker Compensation Agreement. This form will be on our online forms service, Transaction Desk, within the next week for member use. Please note that this form is NOT permitted to be uploaded to our MLS as compensation is not permitted on the MLS per the NAR Settlement changes.

REVISED FORMS: Multiple Listing Contract & Leasing Contract
New language has been incorporated into the Multiple Listing Contract and the Multiple Listing Leasing Contract to comply with the NAR Settlement Agreement. The new language states: NO STANDARD COMMISSION: Seller acknowledges that Brokerage commissions and fees (compensation) are not standard, are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The revised versions are now available for use on Transaction Desk.

NEW FORM: Addendum to Multiple Listing Contract
The Addendum to the Multiple Listing Contract form will only be used if a Broker has an ACTIVE Listing Contract executed prior to the June 2024 version of the Multiple Listing Contract and that listing extends past August 13, 2024. This new form will be on our online forms service, Transaction Desk, within the
next week for member use.

ABR Designation & RENE Certification Coming to GLAR in September

Maurice Hampton is back at GLAR for another free
session for the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) Designation in September! Following the ABR course, we are offering an ABR-approved elective course called the Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) Certification, also taught by Hampton. The ABR 2-day course is FREE for members and the RENE Course is only $225 if you register by September 2nd.
