KYR Convention Congratulations
Congratulations to the following GLAR members who will be representing Kentucky REALTORS at the state level. The following were elected at this year's KYR Convention in Lexington:
- Lester Sanders sworn in as KYR President for 2020.
- Elizabeth Monarch elected as KYR Treasurer-Elect.
- Dave Parks elected as KYR Director At Large.
- Ann Elizabeth Delahanty appointed as Region III Director.
We would also like to congratulate one of our instructors, Cora Henderson, who won the Nat Sanders Educator of the Year Award at this year's KYR convention.

REALTOR Store Closed for Inventory on Oct. 1st
The REALTOR Store at the GLAR office will be closed for inventory on Tuesday, October 1st. It will reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, October 2nd.

KYR Accepting Applications for Commissioner
Any Real Estate Licensee wishing to be considered for a
3-year term as a Kentucky Real Estate Commissioner should submit an application form to Kentucky REALTORS®. Applicants must have, immediately prior to the date of their appointment, been a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky for ten (10) years. Applicants must have also held an
active Kentucky real estate license for ten (10) years. Deadline for submission is October 11th to Kentucky REALTORS®, by mail (2708 Old Rosebud Road, Lexington, KY 40509) or by email (rwilson@kyrealtors.com). Candidate interviews will be held in Lexington on October 15, 2019. The application form and detailed requirements are available at www.kyrealtors.com.

As an added bonus, you have the option to stay after the Rookies session for a packed hour with an open discussion on goal-setting and business planning strategies imperative for independent contractors! This is completely optional to attend, and the topics of discussion will evolve throughout the year to help you develop your own business strategies.
These events are intended for Realtors® with less than 2 years of experience in the industry, but members of all experience levels are welcome to attend.
