REALTORS® in Action! Our REALTOR® Members, GLAR leaders, and REALTORS® from around the State were hard at work in Frankfort last week at the Kentucky REALTORS® Legislative Meetings. During these meetings, our leaders and members had the opportunity to meet with legislators to discuss important legislative priorities as well as advocate for protecting home ownership and private property rights.

We are proud to officially launch the GLAR Foundation Inc., a nonprofit charitable arm dedicated to making a lasting impact in the communities where we live, work, and serve!

As the real estate industry plays a pivotal role in fostering growth, opportunity, equity and lasting social good, this new initiative reflects our strategic commitment to strengthen the connection between business success and community responsibility.

With the leadership of our Board of Directors, we are bringing this vision to life—enhancing the GLAR and REALTOR® brand by driving positive change across our region. Additionally, the GLAR Foundation will introduce programs, grants, and initiatives designed to empower clients, support both current and future members, amplify REALTOR® recognition, and build stronger partnerships within our communities.

Stay tuned for exciting opportunities to get involved—volunteer, participate in service projects, contribute, and help shape the future of our city! Together, we can turn this vision into reality and create a stronger, more vibrant Greater Louisville.

Updated documents are now on your member portal. Members can now view the 2025 approved budget, the most recent audit report, and the updated Policies & Procedures Manual approved by the GLAR Board of Directors. These documents are available to view by logging into your member portal under the Rules, Bylaws, and Other Resources section.

Don't forget to RSVP for this Thursday's event! We hope you will join us for our Member Mixer celebrating Black History Month on Thursday, February 13th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Dasha Barbours Southern Bistro. This event is complimentary to members, but registration is required. Appetizers and beverages will be available.

Starting in 2025, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requires all REALTOR® members to complete two hours of fair housing training every three years as a condition of REALTOR® membership. This new requirement is in addition to the existing Code of Ethics training cycle and applies to new applicants and existing members. This cycle's deadline is December 31, 2027.

The Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS® will have both in-person and online fair housing courses available for members to meet this training requirement. You can view and register for these on your member portal. To determine if a GLAR course is approved to meet this particular requirement, look for "Approved for NAR Fair Housing Credit" in the course credits section. You can also view available course options on NAR's Fair Housing resource page.

Join our new series to engage and network with fellow real estate professionals around town! During this informal event, hear the latest updates from the association and engage with members of our leadership team as we curate a space for members to connect, share ideas, discuss industry trends/topics, enjoy delicious light bites, beverages, and more!

Whether you’re a newer or experienced REALTOR®, affiliate, etc., or someone eager to network and meet new industry colleagues, this event welcomes ALL members!

For each Member Mixer, the location will shift as we support a unique small local business owner/shop around town to commemorate the month’s heritage month. The Production Report in Flexmls provides you with valuable information on sales production by member and property type. If you did not run your report at the end of 2024, we have now added the ability to view your production numbers, not just for January 1st up until the current date, but for the previous three years as well.

Navigate to the My Production page under Statistics on the menu, where you’ll see Current Date selected as the default. The data reflected is the current calendar year-to-date. If you prefer to view your production numbers farther back, you can use the dropdown menu to select from 2024, 2023, or 2022. This way, you can view the previous year’s data. SHOW ME HOW.
