Strengthening Our REALTOR® Voice: Our New PR Partnership

I’m thrilled to announce that GLAR has officially partnered with a local public relations firm, RunSwitch, to elevate our visibility and brand recognition as the trusted “Voice of Real Estate” across our region.

RunSwitch is highly regarded for its work with associations and organizations throughout our community and country, and we’re confident in their ability to help us share the REALTOR® story in compelling, strategic ways.
With clients such as Churchill Downs, this partnership is a key investment in amplifying our media presence through multiple communication channels. Together, we’ll highlight our members’ community impact, reinforce our leadership in property rights advocacy, and enhance the public’s understanding of the essential role REALTORS® play in the real estate experience. A Major Milestone for the GLAR Foundation!
|
|
|
Since its founding last year, the GLAR Foundation set a major goal and that is to be a recognized as a tax-exempt organization. After months of effort, I’m proud to report that the GLAR Foundation is now officially recognized by the IRS as a fully tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization! This means that any contributions made to the GLAR Foundation are now tax-deductible, whether from you, our members, or future sponsors.
We’re thrilled about the opportunities this opens up as we prepare to support housing equity, disaster relief, education, community service, and REALTOR® outreach across the region.

New Member Orientation Refresh
With an average of about 30-35 new members per month, welcoming our new members to the industry, as a first step, is paramount to their success! As such, our New Member Orientation program needed a refresh and has now been updated to better reflect our culture, professionalism, and evolving needs of our members!
|
|
|
Our updated program has been designed to be more engaging and practical. In addition to now being offered back in person, the orientation has improved delivery, clearer pathways to resources, such as an enhanced breakdown of the Code of Ethics, our advocacy efforts, educational offerings, learning the differences between GLAR and KREC, and more! This refresh is part of our broader commitment to enhancing the member journey from day one and feeling proud and connected to our GLAR community.

From our rising stars to our industry leaders, GLAR awards and recognitions are self-nominated and/or peer-nominated to highlight who inspires others, leads by example, gives back selflessly, and members who help shape the future of our industry. Applications are open until September 1st, and recipients will be announced and honored later this year!
