NEW Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract
At their February meeting, the GLAR Board of Directors approved a new Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract. This legal document outlines the length of your agreement as a buyer's agent, explains the role of the agent and buyer, and details how and when the agent will be paid.

Important NAR's Updates March 7th at GLAR with Senior Counsel Matt Troiani

Residential Sales Contract Updated
The GLAR Residential Sales Contract was updated to include the following changes:
- Checkbox added to Line 113.
- At the end of Line 116, added "on the basis of the terms of the warranty."

Have You Completed Your NAR Mandated Ethics for Cycle 7?
As a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS®, you must fulfill your Ethics obligation every three (3) years. Cycle 7 is January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2024. Failure to complete this requirement will result in a suspension of your membership privileges with the Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

You can find out if you have completed your requirement by going on to your member portal, logging in, selecting Menu, Your Information, then View Education History and Personal Education Tracking. Important ShowingTime Text Message Update:
New Opt-in Process Beginning Feb. 29th
ShowingTime sends important updates about your listing appointments via text message. Recently these messages may not have not always reached you or your clients due to mobile carriers blocking text notifications from ShowingTime.To ensure they are taking the necessary steps to keep agents informed on listing appointments and activity, ShowingTime will have a new opt-in process to improve their text message notification system. We wanted to provide some more information about the new feature and steps for opting in.

● When a new mobile number is added to the ShowingTime system, or after 60 days of inactivity for an existing mobile number, ShowingTime will send a message to opt-in to text messages again. It will state: "You've been added to ShowingTime to receive texts for real estate appointments and messages. To give ShowingTime permission to send you these messages at this number, reply START to confirm or STOP to not receive text messages."

● Additional messages will be paused until ShowingTime receives confirmation. The prompt will be sent up to three times to ensure proper acknowledgment.

● Once confirmation is received, any messages that were not sent while waiting for the opt-in will be delivered.

● If there is no response or if the recipient replies with STOP the mobile number will be marked as "Do Not Send" and no further text notifications will be sent to that number.
