Our MLS vendor, Flexmls, has notified us that the next time you log in to Flexmls, you will be prompted to change your password. Simply follow the instructions provided to change your password, and you’ll be all set. This password reset is being required of all Flexmls users because FBS, which provides the Flexmls System, has recently observed an uptick in the use of credentials by unauthorized people. This is not a breach of the Flexmls system but rather individual account credentials (logins and passwords) being shared or otherwise becoming known to and used by unauthorized people. READ MORE.

As part of our ongoing implementation of the new Association Management System (AMS), we want to inform you that a few members have reported discrepancies in their account information.

Our team is actively reviewing and updating records to ensure everything is accurate across the system. We want to take a moment to remind all members of the importance of maintaining clear communication with your clients, especially when it comes to scheduling appointments. We’ve recently received reports of appraisers arriving at properties with confirmed appointments, only to find that the sellers were unaware and unprepared for the visit. While appointments may be confirmed through ShowingTime, it is also critical that you notify your clients directly of any scheduled access to their home. This is a reminder to stay vigilant regarding individuals impersonating a property owner and attempting to list a property they don’t own. In these cases, the scammer has disappeared when asked for identification. While buyer scams are more commonly known, seller scams are on the rise. Please exercise caution and verify identities when working with sellers you have not met in person. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities. If you encounter this scam, report it to the FBI on their website. If you or a client has been the victim of an online scam, report it to both the local law enforcement and the local FBI Field Office.
